Alpacas: Treasure of the Incas This beautiful animal is only found on the heights of Perú and Bolivia The Alpaca is a camelid native to the Peruvian Andes, it lives over 4,000 meters above sea level and has the fiber with the greatest chromatic variety that exists in the world of weaving, which ranges from white to black, through brown and gray. Luxury Fiber Pure Peruvian alpaca wool is one of the most precious natural fibers that exist, comparable only to cashmere, angora rabbit or mohair; it is soft and silky. It is considered a luxury fiber because it is as soft as cashmere and has the sheen of silk. Product Specifications Hypoallergenic Alpaca wool does not cause allergies because, unlike sheep's wool, it does not contain lanolin (a wax that is highly absorbed by the skin and is present in sheep animals). However, as alpaca wool is an animal fiber, its molecular structure is very similar to human hair and contains microscopic keratin flakes that can cause itching in some skins, also influenced by the humidity of the environment. If this occurs, we recommend washing the garment with cold water and shampoo, rinse and soak in water with conditioner for 30 minutes, rinse, place on a towel and roll up without wringing to remove excess water and leave to dry in the shade on a dry towel. Increased comfort Only absorbs 2% of water in a humid environment, this property allows easy removal of moisture from the body and is pleasant to wear. Better dimensional stability The manufactured garments do not lose their original shape after washing. Simple Garment Care Can be washed by hand or machine in delicate clothes, with mild soap and water at less than 30C. It is recommended not to wring and dry on a flat surface.
