I loved these until my daughter didn’t. Ordered them for a week long beach trip in SC where we go every year. The sand will burn the bottoms of your feet if you don’t wear some type of shoe. I thought these would help keep the hot sand from kicking up onto the top of her foot. They did. She’s 4 so carrying her is no longer an option when hauling things down to the beach for the day. After a day at the beach it was time to go back to the house. She started walking and started complaining her shoes were hurting her feet. I thought it was just the sand irritating her feet because they were sandy when she put her foot in. We got back to the house and I washed all the sand out, let them dry completely. I made sure her feet were not wet or dirty when I put them back on her. She took a couple steps and whined that they hurt. I had her take a few more steps so I could see if they were slipping in the back. They were not. I let her take the shoes off and looked at her feet. Her heels were bright red where the shoes were irritating her foot. I don’t know how to describe it. The seam of the back was hard and pressing on her foot causing the redness. They were not too small either. I bought them a week before the beach trip and she had plenty of room. In fact they fit perfect. If they put the seam somewhere else and made that back part softer I think it would be amazing! But I’m not a seamstress so I don’t even know if that is possible.My son loves these water shoes. He wears them to the beach, pool and great for the waterpark. I will be purchasing them again in a bigger size next summerThese run big. Kept them because love the quality and we will get a chance to use themFit my 5 and 7 year old like a glove. Protected their feet from the rocks at the lake we go to. They liked them so much they wore them all day after they got out of the water.Highly recommend.Bought a size 11 for a child that wears a size 11 in all other shoes. The fit is perfect! I love that this shoe provides extra protection around the toes and has an adjustable strap over the foot. This makes for better protection once out of water and walking around. These shoes are sturdy enough to wear daily as sandals. Highly recommend!Product is just as it appears, good enough for summer water shoes. My issue is the sizing..no where near the size guide I used.. I find this runs throughout these Chinese water shoes.. definitely too large, they run big, really big.. it will likely take another two years to match what I needed..This swim shoe turned out much better than expected. My son needed shoes for swim days at his school and these worked out perfectly and stay on well!EDIT: Easy on velcro for her hand dexterity issues. Also slips on.
