They seem fine and warm but I find them hard to put on.vintage person, obese, arthritis has trouble getting socks on and big enough for calves. Works great and warm. Fits into shoes versus the bulky wool ones. However, big toe hole worn through with first wearing. I can 'darn' the hole but would like sturdier toe knit. Yes, my nails were trimmed short and round.These socks left compression marks on my legs. But a bigger problem, which disqualifies them, is that they allow my fee to move around, in the boot and even when walking shoe-less around the house. Just aggravating.
